The ABFA’s decision in mid 1998 to develop a strategic action plan for the industry showed clearly its commitment to fostering industry development. An industry survey, conducted during October 1998, was key part of the planning process. It allowed all farmers to express their views on the industry’s needs and also to provide information on their future production and marketing plans. The 1998 Development Plan was revisited early 2001. An updated plan is provided in the following PDF document.
